GEORGE NEWS - Africa Skills will meet with different community stakeholders today, Thursday 5 November, in an effort to find solutions after the college has been hit by a number of protests over late payment of student stipends.
The college has been battling with the Construction Education and Training Authority (Ceta) to pay the students' stipends on time. Late payments have been causing tension between college management and the students over a number of years.
It is hoped that the meeting will leave the community with a better understanding of the situation and that, through brainstorming together with the stakeholders, solutions to the problem will be found.
The venue for the meeting could not be confirmed at the time of going to print.
