A bright future ahead for bursary winners

GEORGE NEWS - Ahlumile Kilani, a Grade 12 learner at Imizamo Yethu Secondary School in Thembalethu, and Reese Watson, a Grade 12 learner at Point High School in Mossel Bay, were awarded full bursaries for their tertiary education in the 2024 Western Cape Government/Nedbank Essay Writing Competition in Cape Town on Saturday 20 April.

Each learner was asked to research and write a 2 500-word essay on the subject of the Green Economy Accord. 

If they were selected to be in the final 24, they had to make a 15-minute PowerPoint presentation to a panel of adjudicators in Cape Town. 

Twelve finalists were then awarded bursaries.
