GEORGE NEWS - In these 'new normal' times, frontline healthcare workers have become completely engulfed in the pandemic - from saving lives to courageously stepping up to fill the void of loved ones who are unable to be by the side of Covid-19 patients due to visitor restrictions.
As this is often a profoundly emotional experience for staff, George Hospital introduced #OrangeFriday whereby staff members were encouraged to dress in orange to brighten the mood.
As an extra health and immune booster, oranges were handed out to all staff.
#OrangeFriday also marked a happy end to Mental Illness Awareness Month.
