GEORGE NEWS - Ronel Nieman, a survivor of breast cancer who has been in complete remission for 11 years, along with four other George residents, has started the Teddy Bear Project to give back to the community, especially children who have been hospitalised due to illness.
Recently this group of women, all of who have lost a loved one to cancer, donated 51 knitted teddies to the George Hospital children's ward and children in the oncology unit.
They kindly request the public's assistance with donations of wool, batting and buttons. Any volunteers who would like to give a hand, may contact Ronel Nieman on 082 491 9836.
