GEORGE NEWS - A 37-year-old man was killed in a shooting incident in Zone 9 last night, Wednesday 13 July.

According to Southern Cape police spokesperson Capt Malcolm Pojie, the incident happened at 19:45 at a shack in a backyard in Teyise Street.

Pojie said a murder case has been opened. The name of the deceased cannot be made known at this stage as it is unclear if his next-of-kin have been informed.
