GEORGE NEWS - Two men were killed during two separate shooting incidents last night (13 July) in Borcherds, Conville leading to the arrest of four men.
According to the Southern Cape police spokesperson, Sgt Chris Spies, the police were dispatched to a scene at Spandiel Street at about 20:55.
Upon arrival the members found a man with a gunshot wound to the chest. The victim (31) was later declared dead by paramedics on the scene.
Minutes later at about 21:00, police were called to another scene in the same street where a second man was shot inside a bungalow.
The police found the victim (19) with gunshot wounds to his chest and arm. He was also declared dead by paramedics on the scene.
“An investigation into these incidents immediately commenced and crime scene experts combed the scenes for clues,” said Spies in a statement.
The investigation led to the arrest of four men earlier today, 14 July. The foursome, aged between 29 and 33, remain in custody.
They are expected to make their first court appearance on Tuesday, 16 July on murder charges.
The possibility that these killings are linked and the motive form part of investigation.
