GEORGE NEWS - The sixth International Tekkie Tax Day is taking place on Friday 31 May.
The public can support the campaign by buying a sticker for a cause close to their heart, choosing from Animals, Bring Hope, Children, Disability, or Education.
You can also buy a pair of hickie shoelaces in bright colours, a 2019 campaign T-shirt or one of two limited edition T-shirts to wear on Tekkie Tax Day.
According to the organisers, Tekkie Tax is becoming the country's most significant fundraising campaign that impacts more than 300 local welfare organisations. It has raised almost R40-million since its inception in 2013.
There are 12 national alliance partners that present more than 1 500 local non-profit organisations. They are: People Against Substance Abuse George, Various SPCA organisations, SAVF, Famsa, Lifeline SA, various child welfare organisations, SOS Children's Villages, Childline SA, Epilepsy SA, Down Syndrome SA, Sanca, Cansa and Pink Drive.

The stickers cost R10 each; a set of 10 Tekkie Tax hickie shoelaces (2 x 5 colours) costs R40; a 2019 black campaign T-shirt is R100 (adults) and R80 (children), and a white/charcoal 2019 limited edition T-shirt is R130 (adults only).
The organisers say a host of celebrities, the media, hundreds of companies and thousands of individuals have pledged their support to this campaign.
