GEORGE NEWS - The new Miss George Youth Café, Deidre Adams, was crowned on 30 August at the George Museum. Jenaide Chippe, Youth Cafe manager, says being Miss George Youth Café is not to be taken lightly as she has a huge role to play within the community and at social events.
"Miss George Youth Café as well as the princesses are the new ambassadors of the George Youth Café. They will use their new roles to impact positively on the youth. The George Youth Café can not do so alone."
She says they are proud to call Adams their Miss George Youth Café 2019. "She has been a good role model at the Youth Café by attending as many training sessions as possible to improve her skills.
"She is an influencer by nature and has caring aspects. It will be interesting to see how she settles into her role as Miss George Youth Café."
Chippe thanked their sponsors who have made the event possible and extended a special thank you to the family and friends who joined them on the beautiful evening.
