GARDEN ROUTE NEWS - The Gardeners’ Market at Sedgefield Station is being held on the first Sunday of the month from 08:00 to 12:00.
Anything related to gardening, anything natural, garden tools (old or new), plants, pots, fruit and veg, seeds, bird feeders and even worm farms can be found at this market.
Guest speakers this Sunday, 3 September are Wilfred and Clayton Cloete on the topic 'Bees: how to garden for bees, and other interesting facts about them that we all need to know to keep them happy'. Did you know that hybridised flowers are too dense for the bees to even reach the nectar? Come listen and tap from the honeypot of information that the Cloetes will share.
On Sunday 1 October, Karen Muir, well-known potter, will be the speaker on 'Natural insecticide herbs for companion planting'.
Muir has a stunning garden and herb nursery in Hoekwil. This is gardeners' chance to learn about alternative ways to protect their plants and their health.
The talks start at 10:30. Feel free to bring a chair.
