GEORGE NEWS - The young couple whose bodies were found in a house in Aandblom Street, Bergsig, on Friday 10 July, have been identified as Amorei Vermaak (26) and Stephen Fleck (31).
According to Southern Cape police spokesperson, Sgt Chris Spies, the circumstances surrounding their deaths are still being investigated.
It is believed that one of Vermaak’s colleagues, who was also a close friend, went to the house on Friday morning after Vermaak did not report for work that day.
“She discovered the bodies and alerted emergency services. Police found the bodies of the deceased in the bedroom. Both sustained gunshot wounds and a firearm was found on scene,” said Spies.
