GEORGE NEWSFLASH - More than 90 women from George, Knysna and Plettenberg Bay participated in the nationwide Total Shutdown march against gender-based violence this morning.
Marchers, dressed in black and red, departed from the corner of Market and Cradock streets at 10:00.
A memorandum with 24 demands was handed over to George Municipality community and social development councillor Sean Snyman. He was standing in for George mayor Melvin Naik, who could not be there.
Snyman said his portfolio will work towards achieving possible solutions for the demands brought to the table.
