GEORGE NEWS - George police have opened a case of culpable homicide after the death of a 62-year-old woman, following an accident on Wednesday 10 January on the N2 at the entrance to Wilderness.
According to Southern Cape police spokesperson Sgt Chris Spies, the police were dispatched to the accident scene at about 14:30.
Upon arrival, they found that a collision had taken place between three vehicles, a Mitsubishi truck, Ford Bantam bakkie and Volkswagen Amarok. The 62-year-old victim sustained serious injuries and was later declared dead by medical personnel on the scene. Spies said the cause of the accident is yet to be established and the name of the deceased has not been released yet. “The investigation continues.”
