Update
GEORGE NEWS - Silver Town is currently experiencing a power outage. The Sandkraal line that feeds the area has a fault. Unfortunately the line was damaged in an impassable area.
The team is waiting on a JCB to make a road to access the area.
With regards to Asazani, Area 4, the power will remain off today and tomorrow, Thursday, 6 August. Repair work can only start tomorrow after the contractor has secure locks and doors of the mini-substation.
The doors and locks need to be fixed before the electrical wiring can go live. The severe damage to the substation was caused from illegal connections.
This is a prolonged outage due to illegal connections.
