UNIONDALE NEWS - A number of George municipal departments attended the Garden Route Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Annual Wellness Day held at the Uniondale sports grounds on Friday 19 October.

Various stakeholders such as Uniondale Police, Department of Correctional Services (Uniondale), Bethesda, EMS Garden Route and Central Karoo District, Uniondale Working on Fire, Cape Nature, Uniep and Uniondale Elderly Club, participated at this event. 

Ward 25 Councillor Jarques Esau opened the proceedings.

Officials from the various districts took part in swimming, cycling, netball, and tug of war, sprinting relay, volleyball, cricket, passing the ball and other sport disciplines.
