GEORGE NEWS - Two suspects, aged 21 and 27, were arrested by Thembalethu police shortly after a murder in Gushindoda, Zone 8, on Wednesday 7 July.
According to Thembalethu police communications officer, Capt Dumile Gwavu, it is alleged the deceased, Lunga Mayipheli (30), was assaulted by the suspects after he stole a cellphone from them.
“He sustained injuries to his upper body and was declared dead by paramedics on scene,” said Gwavu.
The suspects were arrested on the same day and are scheduled appear in the George Magistrate’s Court tomorrow, Friday 9 July.
