GEORGE NEWS - The George Municipality in conjunction with the University of Stellenbosch's disabled sport section (Maties Parasport) are hosting an exhibition on sports for people living with disabilities on Saturday, 14 July at 10:00 at the Conville Civic Centre.
The Sport Development Section of the Municipality, in its endeavor to make sport facilities accessible to those living with disabilities, have embarked on a project called Access-ABILITY to Sport.
Their aim is to make the facilities accessible to disabled athletes as well as to expose those who have never had the opportunity to play sport due to a disability, to a variety of sports.
This event aims to bring exposure to the community in anticipation of a sports day for people living with disabilities, that will be taking place on 14 September 2018.
The Sports Day is themed - STARTING A NEW HERITAGE IN SPORT DEVELOPMENT as part of the Municipalities Heritage Month celebrations.
