GEORGE NEWS - Camille Haupt of the Total Shutdown Initiative is calling on Georgians to join her in a silent vigil in front of the George Post Office this afternoon at 14:30 to mourn the femicide in South Africa.
“This is not a protest. There is no need for placards and posters. Some of us (women) will wear red lipstick and streak our faces with red paint. We will mourn together.”
University of Cape Town student Uyinene Mrwetyana was allegedly lured into the Clareinch Post Office in Claremont, Cape Town on 24 August by a postal worker and raped and killed.
