GEORGE NEWS - The Hoekwil Opens Gardens event is a tradition in Hoekwil and many people support the initiative every year.
This annual event started in 2016 and was later supported by Sotheby's, that now does the printing and promotion of the event.
Seven Passes Initiative has been the recipient of the funds since the inception in 2016. This year the Humane Society of Hoekwil and Alzheimer's Southern Cape also received funds.
"We at Seven Passes are grateful to receive the funds as it was the first contribution made to our new early childhood development centre that we plan to open in March next year," said Seven Passes director Wilmi Dippenaar.
"We want to thank every person involved with this initiative for their continued support and contribution. We hope it is a tradition that will continue to grow."
