GEORGE NEWS & VIDEOS - All Saasveld students were evacuated as a precautionary measure, except for the Outeniqua and Kalander hostels where there is no threat.
According to NMU media spokesperson Alet van Tonder, the students are currently at the Garden Route Mall.
The evacuated Saasveld students will be sleeping at Hope Church. The Lions Club will be providing them with meals.
A decision regarding their return to campus will be taken tomorrow, according to NMU spokesperson Alet van Tonder.
