GEORGE NEWS FLASH - The owner of Merriman Café in Merriman Street, Christo Engelbrecht, says he is still in a state of shock following a robbery earlier this morning, Sunday 1 July.
The shaken shopkeeper said this afternoon that he is unhurt, but that it had been the most traumatic experience he had suffered in the 25 years of owning the well-known landmark.
Comment from the police is being awaited.
