GEORGE NEWS - Please note that ABSA Bank clients may experience issues with payment to George Municipality via EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer).
ABSA Bank has recently corrected/updated their Public Recipients, therefore all ABSA account holders need to update their beneficiary status for George Municipality.
Please follow these steps to update George Municipality as a beneficiary:
- Delete your current George Municipality beneficiary.
- Create a new George Municipality beneficiary:
- by selecting “PAY A Bill (Absa listed beneficiary)”,
- search for George Municipality as Institution Name and click select,
- continue with filling in the required information until the transaction is complete.
