GEORGE NEWS - Following queries regarding the post office strike, the George Herald approached the area manager of the Post Office, Dean Stevens for comment.
Stevens referred the newspaper to the official spokesperson, Martie Gilchrist, but she has not yet responded to an e-mail enquiry and there is not answer on her office number.
An employee of the George Industria Post Office said that they are open, but cannot take in parcels or mail as no transport is available.
"We assist the public with other services where we can."
There is no answer on the telephone line of the main post office in York Street and the line of the George East Post Office remains engaged.
