GEORGE NEWS - "Explosions" heard in the vicinity of Blue Mountain retirement village late Saturday evening, 23 July, had some nearby residents air their concern on social media.
According to a Blue Mountain resident they heard "two loud bangs with sirens sounding" after having gone to bed.
Concern about the explosions were also raised on the internal Blue Mountain Whatsapp group.
Southern Cape police spokesperson Capt Malcolm Pojie said according to records at the George and Conville police stations no cases or reports have been made of an explosion.
