GEORGE NEWS - An arrest is yet to be made after a 37-year-old man, Sifiso Lloyd Nkohla from Zone 9 in Thembalethu, was brutally shot at about 19:45 on Wednesday 13 July.
Nkohla died in a hail of bullets in his shack in the back of a yard in Teyise Street.
According to Southern Cape police spokesperson, Sgt Chris Spies, no arrests have been made yet.
Police members were dispatched to the house after being alerted by family members who had heard shots being fired in the back of their yard.
"Members then found the body of the deceased in the doorway of the one-room shack with multiple gunshot wounds to his body. He had already succumbed to the injuries sustained and was declared deceased by paramedics on the scene," said Spies.
Forensic experts and detectives combed the scene for clues and evidence that can assist with the investigation. They confiscated a number of empty casings as well as projectiles found on the scene.
