GEORGE NEWS - There is a planned power outage for Wilderness on Tuesday, 29 March from 09:00 to 16:00 for the purpose of doing alterations to the electrical mains.
George Municipality will try and lessen the electricity load as far as possible but ask users to please use electricity sparingly and only for necessities.
Please note that this is an emergency schedule, which means that it may or may not be implemented depending on real-time loading.
The following rotational load shedding will be implemented in the Wilderness area:
- 08:00 to 10:00 - Kleinkrantz Pinedew, Langvlei Dunes.
- 10:00 to 12:00 - Hoekwil, from Post Office towards Platrug Road.
- 12:00 to 14:00 - Wilderness Heights from Heights Road up to Seven Passes.
- 14:00 to 16:00 - Hoekwil from Hoekwil Café up to Valley Road.
