GEORGE NEWS - A woman, presumably in her 40s, was knocked over by a white bakkie in Courtenay Street earlier this morning (Tuesday 28 January).
She was declared dead on the scene.
The accident took place near Augusta Grill.
The bakkie was travelling in the direction of York Street at the time of the accident. The driver remained on the scene until the body was removed by forensic pathology.
