GEORGE NEWS - A group of 11 people enjoyed a patternmaking workshop during February presented by the Youth Development section of George Municipality in conjunction with the Pacaltsdorp Community Business Association (PCBA).
The training facilitator, Catherine Stoffels, is an entrepreneur and seasoned trainer who has lectured at Further Education and Training (FET) colleges and for other programmes.
Jonel Kerspuy, coordinator of the Youth Development section, said the workshop is one of various skills transfer workshops aimed to equip young and old with the skills and knowledge that will enable them to become employable and/or start their own businesses.
Business mentoring and coaching are provided by the PCBA to these and other entrepreneurs.
The training included the basic theoretical aspects of patternmaking and practical exposure to patternmaking.
It was held at the PCBA venue in Pacaltsdorp on the corner of Kerk and Mission Street.
