GEORGE NEWS - On Saturday 4 September a gala fundraiser was held to raise funds for the four students of Elvinia's Dance Academy who were selected to dance in the year-end Port Elizabeth Youth Ballet production The Nutcracker to be staged at the PE Opera House in December.
The students are Savannah de Jongh, Dillon Matthyse, Kimberley Collyn and Jodi-ann Michael. Elvinia's Dance Academy thanks the Oakhurst Arts Theatre and all the patrons of ballet who attended the evening for their support.
Enough money was raised to fund the many trips to Port Elizabeth for rehearsals.
The academy also thanks all the sponsors of the event, without whom it would not have been possible.
