GEORGE NEWS & VIDEO - Members of the Outeniqua Shellhole of the Moths (Memorable Order of the Tin Hats) celebrated the organisation's 94th year with a sunset parade at the Moth Hall on Friday evening, 7 May.
The Moths organisation in South Africa was founded by Charles Evenden in Durban on 7 May 1927.
Wee Bill Pieter Viljoen said the Oute-niqua Shellhole was established 72 years ago. "We have healthy membership numbers and we look forward to also involve the broader community in our activities."
During the ceremony, which was held indoors because of unfavourable weather, a candle was lit in remembrance of the fallen soldiers of World War I and World War II.
