GEORGE NEWS - On 1 March, Genevafontein retirement village marked 25 years since their village manager, Eric Bekker, first took up the position.
Bekker joined them on Monday 1 March, all those many years ago. Unfortunately, due to the Covid-19 restrictions, the occasion could only be celebrated with a gathering of the Board of Trustees, where a token of appreciation was presented to Bekker, said chairman Tom Fowls.
Bekker said that it had been a privilege to be of service to the Genevafontein community and that he took pride in having been part of the process that has seen Genevafontein become one of the leading and successful retirement villages in the Garden Route.
