GEORGE NEWS - Meals on Wheels George supplies cooked meals and distributes thousands of packages of samp and beans as well as bread in poor communities in George and environs, even as far as Willowmore, the Baviaans and Oude Muragie.
The need is always growing and Meals on Wheels has even begun supplying a few schools in George with soup to feed hungry children.
The organisation depends solely on public donations to fund their operations and distribution costs.
Teams of volunteers help to do deliveries. The manager, Cora Fourie, has made a plea to the community for food and monetary donations to help them help those who are suffering hardship.
