GEORGE NEWS - George Mayor Leon van Wyk, together with Portfolio Councillor for Human Settlements Bazil Petrus and construction manager at Ruwacon Construction John Laws, did a site visit at the Metro Housing project earlier this week.
Van Wyk was happy about the good progress being made and pleased to see that that beneficiaries on the list include disabled people and the elderly.
Petrus said it is gratifying that, as soon as the Western Cape Ministry of Infrastructure gives the go-ahead, they can hand over homes to people.
He said the progress with the rest of the houses is also coming along quickly and those homes will be ready to be handed over in the next phase.
