GEORGE NEWS - Life Community Services will be holding its Spring Market in Parkdene on Saturday 27 October. There will be fresh vegetables for sale, a pop-up coffee shop, exhibition and sales of Life's Isipho job creation products, gifts, pallet furniture, second-hand books and beautiful clothing (also vintage).
The coffee shop will offer cakes and fabulous food and there will be a kiddies area, pancakes at the school, kiddies treats at the preschool stand, and a takeaway shop. The gate fee is R10.
Visitors will be enjoying all this to live gospel music in the background. The event forms part of the organisation's fund-raising.
"This event is a place where communities meet and share. Anyone who wants to know what we do and how we do it, this is the day you can see it all," invites CEO Maryna de Vries. "This is an event not to be missed. We equip, skill and train kids from Parkdene, Maraiskamp, New Dawn Park, Thembalethu, Conville and Protea Park."
The market is taking place at the Life Community Services premises on the corner of Main Road, Parkdene and Nelson Mandela Boulevard. It starts at 09:00 and concludes at 13:00.
