On Saturday at the New Dawn Park prize-giving held at the Pacaltsdorp community hall, Pieter Pepler from the mayor's office made a plea to participants to remain involved and spread their gardening knowledge.
"In the process we leave behind an example for our children and become a community who help ourselves," he said.
