GEORGE NEWS - Members of the Charity Knitting Group in George have been clicking needles "fast and furious" during the lockdowns last year. Even though they could not meet, they knitted 1 650 articles - 534 more than the 1 116 knitted in 2019.
Their collection of jerseys, teddies, beanies, mittens and baby clothes will be distributed in the local community.
The group has resumed its meetings every second Tuesday at 14:00 at the Catholic Church in Meade Street.
