GEORGE NEWS - Georgian Lionel Esau (51) was admitted as an advocate in the Circuit High Court in George early in November by Judge Nathan Erasmus.
Esau was a teacher for seven years (1990 to 1997) before joining the Department of Correctional Services, where he is still the head of development and care.
He obtained a BTech degree in Correctional Services Management from Unisa in 2002. After that he enrolled for an LLB degree at Unisa in 2007 and completed his degree in June 2011. During 2012 he attended practical legal training at Lead school for legal practice at UCT, and passed his attorney's admission exam thereafter.
Esau is currently in the process of completing his BA degree in Forensic Science / Investigations through Unisa.
