GEORGE NEWS - The George Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit (FCS) urgently needs assistance from the public to trace a suspect who is wanted in connection with a rape in Thembalethu on Monday 13 September.
According to Southern Cape police spokesperson, Capt Malcolm Pojie, a 26-year-old victim and her boyfriend were asleep at home in Gushandoda, Zone 8, when she realised that an unknown man was lying on top of her, raping her, at about 04:45.
“She could not give a proper description of the suspect as it was dark inside the shack and can only recall that he was wearing a black hoody jacket. The suspect fled on foot,” said Pojie.
