Heavenly dishes at Chantal's Christmas table

GEORGE NEWS - One of our country's top journalists, Chantal Rutter Dros, is preparing for her second Christmas in George with her family.

Chantal is well known for her work as presenter and investigative journalist for the current affairs programme, Carte Blanche (2010 - 2013).

After more than two decades in South Africa's mainstream broadcast media, she is now owner of Chantal Rutter Media, a production, branding and media company.

For Chantal, Christmas is her favourite time of year. "Last year was our first Christmas in George without our family around, but my mom and dad have just moved here, so it will be a true celebration of family," she said. "Our three-year-old now also has a solid understanding of what Christmas is all about, which has allowed us to see the excitement of Christmas through his eyes. Carols-by-candlelight and all the gorgeous Christmas markets in George are a must!"

Chantal's Christmas Day menu for 2018 has a poached pear, walnut and caramel salad starter, crispy duck pancakes and a Black Forest trifle with cherries in kirsch for dessert.
