Update
GEORGE NEWS - All love stories end in one of three ways: heaven, hell or platonic.
This is life.
So how did our local "love story" end?
George Herald recently ran a story on Mr M (from the Garden Route), who was instantly smitten when he chatted to a lady while boarding an aeroplane in November.
“I got talking to a woman on the stairs going into the plane bound for Johannesburg.
"She had the bluest eyes and the most beautiful smile and brown hair and I found myself literally feeling weak as I looked into her eyes,” said an infatuated Mr M.
Unfortunately he never thought of asking her name, but he just could not get her out of his mind.
Mr M did what all rational people in the Garden Route do - he contacted the George Herald, who ran the story on our website.
On reading it, Mrs M’s sister, who lives in George, suspected the lady in question could be her sister.
Voilà, she was right!
Unfortunately for Mr M though, she is a Mrs M.
Mrs M lives in Johannesburg and is married, with 3 lovely children.
Our readers can be the judge: heaven, hell or platonic. . .
* We believe Mrs M is relocating to George in the near future. Maybe Georgians should welcome all newcomers to our town with the words “Are you Mrs M?” Who knows, George Herald might be able to run the next instalment of 'Reisiger soek ‘n vrou'”. . .
