Travis is determined to bring the Etana DareDevil Run to George and to make it an annual event supported by people from all ages. He hopes to start the race in 2011 and would like the route to run the length of York Street. Travis says although only guys are allowed to run (as it is Speedos only!), the race has many female supporters who donate money as testicular cancer also impacts on the lives of the partners and wives of those affected.
"Men really need to go for regular check-ups as early detection is the key to survival. The most vulnerable age for testicular cancer is between 18 and 35."
Every year huge prizes are up for grabs and to win, guys have to do something daring dressed only in their red speedo. These daredevil stunts can be seen by all on www.daredevilrun.com.
This year Travis donned his Speedo and bungee jumped from the Bloukrans bridge - at 216m the highest commercial bungee jump in the world.
"Our company, Etana Insurance has sponsored a trip for two to Las Vegas and it is open to anyone who joins on the website, donates to cancer, and does something fun."
