GEORGE NEWS - The Garden Route SPCA's annual Wilderness Woof-athon was moved from November to June this year and for the first time included a treasure hunt.
The participants had good, old-fashioned fun searching for gold coins and clues that were planted along the gorgeous seashore route.
Winners who found the specially marked clues were rewarded with Hills Pet Nutrition products. Young and old thoroughly appreciated the 2,5km and 5km walks along Wilderness' blue flag beach - an opportunity approved by the Parks Board that set up an information stall at the Woof-athon venue.
The SPCA thanks all the SPCA volunteers who helped to organise the event, as well as Hills Pet Nutrition, the Parks Board, the Wilderness Ratepayers Association and all the participants.
