GREAT BRAK RIVER NEWS - Great Brak is the place to be on Saturday, 30 December for the annual Grootbrak Grabadoo. Families will, for the 15th year running, be able to enjoy heaps of active fun during the 2017 Grootbrak Grabadoo.
This iconic event will offer all the top class mountain bike family fun with breathtaking routes through some of the most beautiful flora in Garden Route. The only change is that the event is taking place a day earlier, on 30 December to respect the Sunday activities of the Great Brak community.
The routes for this year's Grabadoo will be the same as the previous year with a 4.8km Fun Walk around Great Brak River during which runners, walkers, families and even pets can participate.
Mountain bikers can again choose between four routes, a 15 km, 36 km, 53 km and 71 km, all of which have been professionally laid out and tested with a tremendous amount of passion and attention to detail.
Entry fees for the specific routes are as follows: 15km - R90, 36km - R130, 53km - R140, 71km - R150. Walkers enter for R40 for the 4.8km walk. With the support of the local business sector participants will also be able to enter at Coimbra Cycle House York street George, WeFix Garden Route Mall and De Kaap Properties in Lang street, Great Brak River or online at http//:www.onlines.co.za. De Dekke Spar in Great Brak River is also for the third year a proud supporter of this awesome event.
The officials used for the event are all locals from the community in Great Brak, such as Greenhaven and the May Flower Cricket club. The aim of this event is to involve, empower and contribute to this special and often overlooked Great Brak community's economy. Cape Pine has supported the Grabadoo for the past 14 years and the fact that the routes run through Cape Pine forests makes it even more unique.
