GEORGE NEWS & VIDEO - Police are currently on scene at the Pacaltsdorp post office, where an armed robbery took place earlier this morning, Monday 2 November, at approximately 08:30.
Suspects fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money after a G4S armoured truck transporting cash was robbed at gunpoint while offloading at the post office.
No arrests have been made, however according to Southern Cape police spokesperson, Captain Malcolm Pojie, all specialised units have been mobilised to assist with the investigation.
"An abandoned vehicle, suspected to be used as the getaway vehicle, was found between Thembalethu and Rosedale shortly after the incident," he said.
