GEORGE NEWS - The leader of the DA in the Western Cape, Bonginkosi Madikizela, was one of many high placed politicians who came to George to pay tribute to the late Daniel Maritz at a memorial service in the city last night, Thursday 11 January.
The service, hosted by the George Municipality at the Conville Civic Centre, attracted a huge crowd who paid their last respects to the former Deputy Mayor and Speaker of George who died on 6 January after battling stomach cancer.
The funeral will take place from the Maritz home in Mentz Street in Conville at 11:00 on Sunday 14 January, followed by a service at the George Community Church in Rosemoor at 12:00.
