GEORGE NEWS - Former Deputy Mayor and Speaker of George, Daniel Maritz lost his long struggle against stomach cancer on Saturday 6 January.
He was diagnosed with cancer in February 2016.
Memorial services for the late Maritz will take place over the next week:
• Tuesday 9 January at 19:00 in the Blanco Community Hall.
• Wednesday 10 January at 19:00 at his home in Mentz Street Conville (arranged by the George Community Church).
• Thursday 11 January at 19:00 in the Conville Civic Centre (arranged by the George Municipality).
