GEORGE NEWS - Two learners who excelled in leadership and maths, Jozè Jordaan from Parkdene Secondary School and Jabez Jackson from Pacaltsdorp High School, were chosen to accompany the marketing manager of the Garden Route Mall, Tumi Masango, to Attacq (the GR Mall's head office in Johannesburg) for a unique experience.
The students attended Attacq's JSE results presentation, did a tour at the Mall of Africa and learned more about the opportunities and bursaries available at PWC and other auditing companies.
Invitations were sent to all high schools in the area for nominations, and the learners were selected based on the criterium "outstanding leader and Grade 11 pupil with the best results in mathematics". According to Masango, seven nominations were received from Parkdene Secondary, Pacaltsdorp High, Thembalethu High and Outeniqua High.
"We wish the students all the best for their future endeavours and are looking forward to receive the next set of nominations next year for our half-year results," she said.
