GEORGE NEWS - The Tourism Section of George Municipality is hosting the annual Events Compliance and Support Workshop for all event organisers on Friday 16 February.
It will start at 09:00 and conclude at 13:00 and will be held at the George Municipality Conference Hall.
“George, Wilderness, and Uniondale boast a diverse range of lifestyle, business, sports, and cultural events.
"The municipality continuously considers sponsorship and/or partnerships with local events to promote economic activity and social cohesion,” says Chantèl Edwards, head of the municipality’s communications department.
Edwards says the workshop aims to equip event organisers with information on event permitting, regulations, municipal services, and the event support application process.
