GEORGE NEWS - Nomzamo Entile (31), self-proclaimed artist from George, is actively spreading a positive outlook around town regarding art between creator and creation.
"I believe it is the responsibility of leaders to equip our brightest and best with all the skills required to make a future for themselves, and this means being able to bridge the worlds of arts and business," said Entile.
Entile explained that after she obtained a financial management diploma from South Cape College she was motivated to start empowering the youth through artistic skills development and educate them on incorporating business skills with art.
She has been involved with young girl mentorship programmes and she's a familiar face at the monthly craft markets in Thembalethu.
She describes her art as stand-out pieces. "I resonate myself in whichever art I create. Artists are innovative and are inclined to create what their mind tells them to create."
Entile invites all art enthusiasts to her arts and entrepreneurial workshops held from 15:00 until 17:00 on weekdays at George Youth Café, located in George Central at 85 Market Street.
"Only by giving emerging art professionals a solid grounding in creative entrepreneurship can we guarantee their survival after they leave our doors, and ensure the artistic leaders of tomorrow are aware, focused and world class."
The workshops are made possible by Western Cape Government, SUFF and George Youth Café.
