GEORGE NEWS - A 36-year-old man lost his life in an accident in the early hours of this morning on the corner of Davidson and Caledon Streets.
The accident took place at about 03:45.
According to Southern Cape Police spokesperson, Sergeant Chris Spies, information available indicates that a white Mazda bakkie collided with a wall.
"The driver of the vehicle sustained multiple injuries. He was declared dead on the scene by paramedics. The passenger also sustained injuries and he was taken to hospital by ambulance.”
According to Spies, the police are investigating a case of culpable homicide.
“The name of the deceased cannot be released until the next of kin has been informed,” said Spies.
