GEORGE NEWS - Two suspects were arrested in seperate incidents after police clamped down on illegal liquor and drug outlets in Golden Valley, Blanco, on Friday afternoon, 5 February.
According to Southern Cape police spokesperson, Sgt Chris Spies, members of the Outeniqua K9 unit and Eden Cluster Crime Combatting Team performed a raid on a premises in Laws Street where liquor and ammunition were confiscated.
"A 33-year old suspect was arrested. He is facing charges of dealing in liquor and unlawful possession of ammunition," he said.
They then proceeded to a second premises where they confiscated multiple small amounts of tik.
"The police arrested a 30-year old suspect on a charge of dealing in drugs. Both suspects will appear in court when charged," Spies said.
The illegal alcohol and some of the drugs that were confiscated.
